What happens if a member doesn't pay their contribution?

Every member signs an acknowledgement of debt at the start. If one of them defaults, our collection partner takes over — you no longer have to chase the money. The guarantee fund covers the gap in the meantime.

Is my money protected with Togethrust?

Your funds never pass through Togethrust's accounts. They are handled by our licensed banking partner, who holds them in segregated accounts. In practice: if Togethrust were to disappear tomorrow, your money would remain accessible.

What does "ORIAS-registered platform" mean?

ORIAS is the French register of finance intermediaries, supervised by the Banque de France. Our registration number (24006639) means we are officially authorised to operate as a Crowdfunding Intermediary, under regulatory oversight.

How do you verify members' identities?

Accepted Answer

ID and proof of address checked in 2 minutes at sign-up, just like at a bank. No member can contribute without completing this step. You can see each participant's verification status before you pay.

How much does a tontine cost on Togethrust?

Accepted Answer

Creating one is free. You only pay a commission when the tontine starts, taken from your first contribution. Depending on the chosen model (fixed or decreasing), it ranges from 0 to 4% of your contribution. You can simulate it in seconds on the home page.

Question 6

What's the difference between fixed and decreasing fees?

Accepted Answer

In fixed mode, every member pays the same commission regardless of their position in the cycle. In decreasing mode, the commission drops with your rank: those who receive first pay more, those who wait pay less (down to zero for the last one). It's up to the tontine's founders to choose the model that feels fairest.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. No subscription, no withdrawal fees, no early-exit penalty at the end of a cycle. The start-up commission is the only cost, and its exact amount is shown before you confirm your tontine.

How does a tontine work in practice?

You invite your circle (3 to 20 members). Each one verifies their identity and accepts the acknowledgement of debt. Together you set the amount, the frequency and the order of beneficiaries. Each cycle, contributions are collected automatically and the pot is paid to the member of the matching rank.

How is the order for receiving funds decided?

Two options, chosen by the circle: an automatic draw, or an order negotiated between members before launch. Once set, the order is written into the contract and can no longer be changed unilaterally — that's the guarantee that nobody gets pushed aside.

Can I leave a tontine that's already running?

Accepted Answer

Leaving before the end of a cycle is technically possible but discouraged: it amounts to breaking a contractual commitment to the rest of the circle. If an exceptional situation arises (illness, job loss), contact us and we'll review it case by case with the other members.
